Inconel X-750 alloy, also known as Alloy X-750, is a nickel based superalloys primarily composed of nickel (Ni), supplemented by chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), titanium (Ti), and aluminum (Al). The characteristic of this alloy is to achieve age hardening by adding aluminum and titanium, thereby enhancing its strength and stability at high temperatures. The presence of chromium provides excellent oxidation resistance. Its microstructure is a face centered cubic austenite phase, which enhances its mechanical properties through precipitation hardening.
In terms of corrosion resistance, Inconel X-750 exhibits good resistance in various corrosive environments, especially in high-temperature oxidative environments. It has a certain resistance to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking (SCC). However, its corrosion resistance is not as outstanding as some other nickel based superalloys, so its main advantage lies in high-temperature strength.
In terms of application fields, Inconel X750 is widely used in the aerospace, nuclear, and heat treatment industries due to its high temperature strength and excellent fatigue resistance. It is commonly used in the manufacturing of aviation engine components, high-temperature springs, gas turbine components, and nuclear reactor components.
